The Story of The Giggling Pig

It all started with Hannah Perry, owner and creator of The Giggling Pig. Hannah grew up in England and studied at Beverley College in Yorkshire, where she earned a degree in childhood education and development. In 1999, Hannah left England to head to the U.S. where she became an Au Pair to follow her passion of working with children with special needs.

Taking care of children was fulfilling but Hannah had a problem finding a space that she could take the kids to be creative and so decided to open her own studio!  This was the same year she acquired an adorable tea cup pig she named Giggles! (Hurrah for Giggles!) I think you can guess what happened next... that’s right, The Giggling Pig was born. (Side Note: Giggles was also the inspiration behind Hannah's second children's book, “Picnics & Puddles: The Adventures of The Giggling Pig & Friends.”) In 2016, Hannah decided to branch out and a second location was opened in Bethel.

New and exciting classes, crafts and products are always popping up in our studios. ‘Giggles on the Go’ was developed for kids who want to make art outside of the studio. Can’t get to a studio! No problem. Giggles on the Go to the rescue! Ask us about our various outreach programs. Visit our gift shop online or in a studio for Art Boxes, Party Buckets, Canvases, Plush Characters and more.

Making connections through art, Hannah and her staff focus on helping kids build their self esteem and confidence, while fostering a safe and kind environment. Over the years Hannah has used her education and experience to develop amazing programs that cater to all ages. From Pre-K education, events, camps and classes to adult painting parties, The Giggling Pig is always filled with fun options. We love what we do and hope you do too!

Hannah has won three Stevie® Awards making The Giggling Pig an award winning Art Studio. In 2017 she was the Gold Winner for Female Entrepreneur of the Year! In 2016 she took home 2 Silver awards — Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Maverick of the Year.
