We offer a wide range of classes, camps, workshops and parties at every age and level. We encourage walk-in’s and experience is typically not necessary. Check out our art classes for kids and workshops for a wide range of ages — from kids to adults. Our pre-k classes are a big hit amongst our toddlers and their moms. Kids also love camp at The Giggling Pig! Our summer camp runs weekly and is organized by theme. And our seasonal camp runs during the school year. We are licensed by the state of Connecticut for full day camp and most of our staff are EpiPen, CPR & First Aid Certified.

Quite possibly our most popular class with adults, our paint & sip class runs on Friday nights! Our grown up parties have also been a big hit. From baby showers, bridal showers and bachelorette parties to birthday and team building corporate parties, we offer a wide gallery selection of options for our customers.

We also work with schools to teach art as well as provide art therapy to other groups such as scouts and troops, assisted living and special needs organizations. We love what we do and look forward to working with you!

Our Staff at The Giggling Pig

Hannah Perry

Entrepreneur, Owner and Creator of The Giggling Pig Art Studio

The Story of The Giggling Pig

It all started with Hannah Perry, owner and creator of The Giggling Pig. Hannah grew up in England and studied at Beverley College in Yorkshire, where she earned a degree in childhood education and development. In 1999, Hannah left England to head to the U.S. where she became an Au Pair. This enabled her to follow her passion of working with children with special needs.

In 2005, Hannah published her first children's book titled "A New Hat For Mommy". Seeking to provide a space for area children to be creative, Hannah opened her first art studio in Shelton in 2011. This was the same year she acquired an adorable tea cup pig she named Giggles! (Hurrah for Giggles!) I think you can guess what happened next... that’s right, The Giggling Pig was born. (Side Note: Giggles was also the inspiration behind Hannah's second children's book, “Picnics & Puddles: The Adventures of The Giggling Pig & Friends.”) In 2016, Hannah decided to branch out and a second location was opened in Bethel.

New and exciting classes, crafts and products are always popping up in our studios. ‘Giggles on the Go’ was developed for kids who want to make art outside of the studio. Can’t get to a studio! No problem. Giggles on the Go to the rescue! Ask us about our various outreach programs. Visit our gift shop online or in a studio for Art Boxes, Party Buckets, Canvases, Plush Characters and more.

Making connections through art, Hannah and her staff focus on helping kids build their self esteem and confidence, while fostering a safe and kind environment. Over the years Hannah has used her education and experience to develop amazing programs that cater to all ages. From Pre-K education, events, camps and classes to adult painting parties, The Giggling Pig is always filled with fun options. We love what we do and hope you do too!

Hannah has won three Stevie® Awards. In 2017 she was the Gold Winner for Female Entrepreneur of the Year! In 2016 she took home 2 Silver awards — Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Maverick of the Year.

Paola Kaoud

Bethel -- Beginner Art Teacher & Birthday Party Instructor

Paola was born and raised in Colombia and migrated to the United States after graduating high school. Once here, she studied fine arts and English as a second language, as well as graphic design and photography, which complimented her love of art. She can often be seen drawing, painting and making crafty treats to express herself through various mediums.

Art runs in her family, literally, from her mother to each one of her siblings... She is proud to say that her mother is one of her biggest inspirations, as she would watch her paint various works throughout her upbringing in Colombia, a country known for its colorful and creative culture.

A mother of two, Paola's love for her children and other children is easily admired, making her an ideal fit for for The Giggling Pig. She can be seen teaching her classes as she is sure to assist each and every student to leave no question unanswered, no brush without stroke, no crayon without coloring... she is sure to allow every child to grow their artistic side.

One of her favorite aspects of being a part of The Giggling Pig Team is being close to her students, as she becomes a part of their growth and expression with art — She always makes sure to guide each child, yet also allows them to express themselves through their own art, which seems to be a perfect balance for each growing young artist!
